The telecoms regulator ComReg has directed Eircom to reduce the charge made to rivals for customers who switch from Eircom.
This direction comes in advance of the March 1st deadline for the introduction of wholesale line rental, set by the Minister for Communications.

broadband and fixed-line telephones. The new rules, published today as draft policy
directions to the Communications Regulator (Comreg), involve
price cutting measures for mobile phone users, broadband and
fixed telephone line users.
