Perlico Signs Three-Year, €3 Million Network Outsourcing Agreement with MCI

Perlico, the Irish owned telecom service provider, today announced that it has selected MCI (NASDAQ: MCIP) as its strategic Network Outsourcing provider in a three-year agreement valued at €3 million to MCI.

Through this agreement, Perlico is turning to MCI for services including telecom switch management, the underlying local and International transit of Perlico-branded telephone traffic across MCI’s international network facilities and access to the MCI global IP backbone for Perlico-branded Internet access offerings.

The agreement is designed to contribute further to Perlico's overall business flexibility, quality of service and expanding portfolio of products by leveraging MCI’s state-of-the-art network facilities and network management capabilities. Perlico expects it will pay €3 million to MCI over a three-year period, while simultaneously gaining significant competitive advantage through efficiency benefits and simplified access to MCI’s leading-edge technology.

Commenting, Iain Mac Donald, Perlico's Chief Executive, says: "This agreement is a further contribution to Perlico’s stated intention to deliver better services and lower prices to the Irish home and business telecom user.
